Short Bio
Dale (she/her) is an illustrator and art educator based in Basel. She studied illustration at the Lucerne School of Art and Design and completed a Master of Fine Arts in illustration and storytelling in Ghent, as well as a second master’s degree in Art Education at ZHdK. Her work moves between digital and analogue processes, focusing on comics, personal narratives, and education. Alongside her artistic practice, she teaches art in Zurich and works as an art mediator at the Cartoonmuseum Basel.

Artist Statement
I am an illustrator and art educator whose practice spans comics, narrative illustration, and experimental material processes. I work between digital and analogue techniques, exploring ink, color, surfaces, and tactile materials such as handmade zines and ceramics. My visual language is poetic, often metaphorical, combining bold and soft elements with occasional spiky contrasts. Education and mediation are central to my work, informing both my teaching and projects that invite engagement, reflection, and queer or ethical perspectives. My work seeks to connect storytelling, materiality, and learning in meaningful ways.
